The University of Northern Virginia (UNVA) is an international university, headquartered in Manassas Virginia. Its network of branch campuses in London, Prague, Cyprus, and Hong Kong provide students with the opportunity to study aboard as they pursue their education. At the Manassas, Virginia campus, students from over 70 countries come to the USA to take part in undergraduate and graduate studies in business and computer related fields.
Many of these students are employed by local companies under a dynamic Curriculum Practical Training Program (Co-Op Program) which matchs students with employers to provide them with real-life experience in their field of study.
UNVA also offers specialized career development programs, such as English as a Second Language (ESL) and computer program certification. It recently added a new on-line professional development portal, Skillport, which offers over 3,000 on-line courses in subjects ranging from Microsoft Office to "soft skill" areas such as human resource management or project management. Many of these programs offer certification.
